The main telephone we hire now is the Iridium hand held as it is the most versatile and can be used world wide. We have currently 4 models in the fleet the 9500,9505,9505A and the latest is the 9555. All phones make and receive voice calls the later phones can send and receive SMS. If you want a particular type of phone you MUST book early. We take bookings many months ahead and try to help all our customers with this. During peak times you really need to be booking early to try to get any phone for your trip. The main satellite hire season is from March to October and the school holiday period is the prime area you need to forward book for. All of our telephones come with 2 or more batteries,AC charger and DC cigarette lighter charger and are supplied in tough waterproof small Pelican cases

You dont pay for incoming calls provided the satellite telephone is located somewhere in Australia
if anyone rings the satellite telephone from anywhere in Australia they will only pay the cost to ring a standard mobile telephone and you do not pay any incoming rate
If you take the satellite telephone overseas you will pay $4.00 per minute outbound AND inbound
